Top Ten Tuesday: Inspirational Characters

This is a weekly feature hosted at The Broke and the Bookish.

I keep meaning to participate, but never get the posts together in time. This was last week’s topic, so even though I’m not on time…at least it’s Tuesday!

My Top Ten Inspirational Characters (and in no particular order)!

10. Anne Shirley. For showing the power and importance of an unbridled imagination…and for landing the most perfect male speciman ever created. Oh…and, of course, for being my first book love.
9. Severus Snape. For giving us all the best illustration of the lasting power of love…and the fact that it can be hidden behind several layers of unwashed man and greasy hair.

8. Chastity O’Neill. For always believing in true love and never letting it go.
7. Jules Cassidy. For being himself…and unashamed…and a BAMF.
6. Minerva Dobbs. For being funny, gracious and stubborn. And for being herself.

5. Milla Edge. For illustrating what it really means to love your child, even when you’ve never met.
4. Mattie Gokey. For loving words.
3. Terra Cooper. For taking her imperfections…and owning them.
2. Dobby. For his loyalty. And love of socks.

Ah…okay, I lied. I do have a number one favorite inspirational character.

1. Mary Grace Winters. For defining strength. The dictionary should have a picture of this woman next to the word. (Even though she is fictional and uh…has no physical representation.)
