Movie Review: One For the Money

Y’all, I just got back from seeing One for the Money and I thought I’d give you my thoughts.

One For the Money
One For the Money

First of all: I’ve always been a fan of the casting. I love Katherine Heigl. I definitely enjoyed everyone in the movie. The biggest bummer? Not enough Lula or Grandma Mazur! It has been ages since I read One for the Money, but I know they probably didn’t have that big a role in it. I’m just so used to them now (18 books into the series) that I missed seeing them in the movie.

Movie Review: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1

Movie and book spoilers, so read at your own risk!

First and foremost (for me)…thank you screenwriters (or whoever makes these decisions), for the love of all the good in the world, for finally letting Dobby have his moment to be the hero. He deserved it, and if you’d left him out there would’ve been no place on this world to hide that I wouldn’t have hunted you down to kick you in the shins. I absolutely love what they did with his character too, he was hilarious!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 Movie!

Well, you guys…it is almost here! The movie premiere of the first half of the Deathly Hallows is less than two weeks away. What are your plans? Are you going to a midnight release party, or maybe just plan on going sometime the first week or so it’s out? Maybe if you are a strange specimen of human being you don’t plan on seeing it at all? Let me know, I’m curious what everyone plans on doing!

I’ve been to the past 3 movie midnight releases, but I haven’t made a huge party out of it since the Goblet of Fire. I have my ticket reserved for this movie as well, but I’m not sure what my exact plans are yet.
